| Welcome to my Web-site. Education means different things to different people.
To me, education means, quite literally, everything.
‘Information society’, ‘transferable skills’ and ‘knowledge management’ are some of the clichés that have accumulated around the idea that education extends beyond the classroom. I avoid such language because it implies that education is a commodity, which it is not.
Education is the expansion of your awareness of human possibility.
Education occurs always and only in relationship, especially the relationship between teacher and student.
After air, water, food and love, education is the most important aspect of human existence.

I was educated at Monash University and the University of Oxford.
I have tutored and lectured at both Monash University and the University of Melbourne. I worked for several years as a Learning Advisor at the University of Melbourne. I taught English as a foreign language to students at the Oxford Intensive School of English. I have also had a lengthy corporate life, beginning as an analyst/programmer before moving to project management and then management consultancy. I now work for myself, only taking jobs where I think I can make a genuine difference. I encourage you to explore this site. There may be things we can learn from one another.
